That said, there are thousands of places you could stop on this Sydney to byron bay drive but not everyone has time for it. So, I have removed the not-so-beautiful places and included no BS straight to the point 6 key and best places to stop on the Sydney to byron bay road trip time wise it can be completed in 7-14 days or longer if you extend your stay in each stop.

Pls, note, this Sydney Byron Bay road trip itinerary is based on a common assumption, you have your transport sorted whether that is by renting a car or sharing with others, or using the bus. If driving is an issue, I suggest booking Sydney to byron bay greyhound bus tickets. I have used them myself and found them to be reliable and trusted transport for the east coast of Australia.

Alternatively, you could do a one-way car or bus then another way flight. For example, Sydney to byron bay flight time is limited then this would be a good idea or a car/bus then on the way back plane.
